Just thought I'd throw on some shots of our new panzers. They arrived 5 September in KAF.

We've already started our workup training for the tour next August. We'll be doing a bit down in Texas as well as Germany prior to getting in theater.

Going to be a busy year...

That one on the aircraft looks brand-spanking new. It needs RPG screens on it.

Good hunting!

A testament to how well it was designed. Took a WW2 Vet to the VA one time who told me just the sound of those nearby would make them shit their pants!.. One bad-ass piece of shootin' iron!..

Oh, and the tank ain't no slouch either!..

Always had much admiration for Canuck Soldiers because you cats really have to love the job to be in up there. Good Luck and stay safe.

It's the MG3 now...an improved version of the old MG42.

Has 2 firing rates IIRC 800 rpm and 1200 rpm depending on which bolt you put in.

The tanks are leases from the Germans, hence the reason why we can't modify the tanks for our own co-ax and ak-ak mounts.

The tanks are new, but give it a day and the poo dust takes care of the new paint quick. Anyone that has been to the shit hole knows what I'm talking about.

As for loving our job, you got that right. Too bad our spineless Liberal opposition members in Parliament want us out of there before the job is done....Feb '09 if they get their way.

Oh well, in a year I'll get my tour in my tank and have some fun, load it up on the AN124 and come home.

Hopefully someone will see the light and let us finish the job the dirt bags started on Sept 01.
