Currently in 13F AIT...

Post by dk188 »

Hello and Happy Holidays Rangers, Warriors, and Veterans. I am currently at Ft. Sill in AIT for 13F. Our class is about half way through. When we get back off of HBL we have about three weeks left. So far I have accomplished all of my short term goals I set before I shipped out. I got a 311 on my last PT test, distinguished honor grad in BCT, 100's on all tests so far in AIT, and working on learning the 6-30 from front to back. As I stated in my intro a while back I do not have Airborne or Opt. 40 in my contract. I am still very motivated to volunteer for a Ranger assignment but I do not know how to go about doing that. I have been waiting for our Cadre to gather the plt up in the classroom and have us sit in front of a Ranger Recruiter for a brief but that has never happened. And when I ask the Cadre no one seems to know when or if a Ranger Recruiter will come. I am at the point where I feel the need to take some initiative to find out who to contact and how to go about this. Hopefully before I get orders cut for somewhere else. Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays.

Ranger Bravo57 and Ranger Jim,

Observer / Target Direction
Danger Close
Trajectory
Method of Fire
Distribution
Projectile
Fuse
Volume
Deviation correction
Range correction
Height of burst correction
Target description
Mission type and/or method of control
Splash
Repeat

And the six elements
Observer identification
Warning order
Target location
Target description
Method of engagement
Method of fire and control

And knocking out 50 for taking too long to reply. I have been back at sill and we have resumed training. Our plt got our orders and I received Ft. Polk 4/10th Mountain. I contacted the Ranger Recruiter for Ft. Sill AIT but have not yet gotten a response. Our plt Sgt. said we "might" see him in a week or two. So I guess it's still a waiting game. :?

This is what your response should have looked like. Excuses are like.. well, I'm sure you've heard that one before. I'll give you one gem for remembering the 15 subsequent corrections.
