An "anti-tank platoon"???...pfft.

Hey AshCav.....if you have a set, you would advise Ranger Jim how the best "anti-tank" weapon is ANOTHER DAMN TANK. 8) Back in the old days I had some ITVs (Improved TOW Vehicle) in my Scout Platoon. What a piece of crap.
Long ago and far away, I had a 106mm recoiless rifle platoon in 2-508 IN. Loved that RR. Eventually, we converted to TOW. Life is good when you are young! And if I may remind you I led a Support Platoon and a commanded a CSC in a Mech Battalion. The brigade had two armor and one mech battalions and my Support Platoon got detailed to support Tank Gunnery at Graf.

Yes, javelins have been fielded and fired in anger.

What's better than a javelin?

Hellfire can't be man packed. If it can't fuck up some poor kids exit by being strapped to him in some strange fashion devised by the AB Test committee it ain't shit!!!

OK, it is but I don't get to push the button or trigger or.....whatever, so....(mumble, mutter)....fuckin' propeller heads...

Smarter, not harder... Shoot their shit, not yours... Bonus if you don't have to carry it in...

And I've seen enough radio rucks fuck up exits to count.

Never got to fire a Javelin. One deployment we had CLUs but no missiles. When I got to 'Stan we had Missles, but no CLUs. Became a running joke. Usually told during a TIC...

"Hey, you got a CLU?"

"I don't even know what the fook I'm doing here...."

That or you'd randomly (or be the one) to yell "tag your it" when AAF would get hit.

Sorry for the mini hijack, just struck a memory.

Or, Hellfire?

Hanging on every KW and Apache, in 4 different HFII models when they're needed, every time they leave the FOB. They also hang on other systems.

I shot a couple in anger, to my great satisfaction. They work good, last long time. :)
