Hello Everyone!

Postby Spitfire » July 4th, 2003, 1:42 am

Hello all, im new to these boards and just wanted to introduce myself a little. Im turnign 17 in a month and currently am in high school. In the future I want to be a Ranger like the rest of the wannabes and DEPers around here, but I have to work a little harder and take a little longer route to get there. I am not an American Citizen "yet" so that shatters my chances for Rangers at the moment. Instead I plan on joining the airborne like one of my older brothers and staying there for several years until I obtain a U.S. citizenship. This will prob help me out sum right? I mean after a few years in the army, ABN in paticular it would be logical that one would be alot more disciplined than some guy freash out of high school. Just wondering... if I have taken Airborne school and then like 3-4 years later I went for Rangers and passed RIP would I have to retake airborne school? Anyways thats what I am working towards for the next while pretty much.. Im going into grade 12 this year and I work out regularly and play alot of sports to stay fit. I plan on being able to max out in pushups and situps and running before I attend basic so I can ace the PFT when I start. I struggle a little pit on pull-ups and chin-ups but I am working on them.. same deal with flutter kicks, I dont even think I do flutterkicks right so if anyone has any advice on any of this stuff its greatly appreciated. I do always try my best at whatever I do any never quit, I know I want this so badly that I won't fail, its not even a possibility (or so I tell myself). Anyways its nice to see a active bb for rangers, you guys deserve it after all the things you sacrifice for this country, I hope one day to join you guys.

Look in the About RIP Forum for the thread titled Flutter kicks how to? Good luck with your citizenship and military career.
