I believe that was Ranger Carns. He was a real nice guy. We jumped into a big turnip field and Carns more or less rode his ruck in. the tube of his rucksack frame separated from the flat part at the bottom and was driven into his kneecap. He made a remarkably fast recovery. Here's a pic of him touring the Auschwitz concentration camp during some free time from REFORGER.

REFORGER was around October, because Octoberfest was going on. Yeah, I have a picture or two of that also... - John
