Sir,
Welcome to the box. If you do feel the need to post a story there is a very good area for it, some of the stories there are pretty good.

Welcome to the site Sir.

Question though, what was the reasoning behind turing down Ranger School?
It's all good.

Welcome.

To our side of the house.

Applied at "your site" to register.

Never heard anything back......hmmmm.

Guess I was headed off at the pass by geojoe.

We're actually pretty friendly.

Same question sir, as Ranger Horned Toad. "What's a DAT?"

I know what "digital audio tape" is.............

tnkr111 wrote:DUMBASS TANKER...he he he. Oh, and now that the M1A2 SEP is online (literally, it has a digital coms system linking it digitally to other vehicles similarly equipped) they are CDATs...ya know, Computerized DAT!

I decided to pass on RS to get to my unit ahead of 4 other LTs. I spoke to Troop Commander and he laid it out- there were 5 LTs inbound, and 2 open Plts for the foreseeable future (6 months or more). Frankly, as an Armor Officer, RS is a great learning environment, and it woudl have benefited me personally, but my professional devlopment was not dependent on it. It isn't required for us, but PL time is! So I made a hard decision over a 12 pack with my former CO (who is tabbed and advised me to take my platoon)....staff as a LT is worthless wasted time. We do enough desk driving as CPTs. Don't worry, I'll be going next fall (2006).
Hope you make it. Lot's of good poop here from "those DAT knows".
