Best price for Eotech 512?

Post by RangerX »

It seems $399 is the average. Anyone know of a better price?

Watch out for "too good to be true" deals on ebay, gunbroker, and other sites for optics - there are a lot of Chinese knock offs out there being passed off as the real thing.

I bought a 512 locally for $275 used, like new for my Double Star. The 1 MOA dot looked more like a 8 MOA star...............

...............I got an eye exam today and for a $400 pair of glasses to compensate for the astigmatism, the 8 MOA star will now look like a 1 MOA dot.

The HH6's dad is a FFL holder / small dealer. I have checked all of his sources, and the best price I can find (wholesale) is $350 for a 512, $316 for a 511.

That's not counting tax and shipping.

If you can do better than that, let me know... I'm in the market. Also, if you have any needs that can be worked through an FFL, let me know. He doesn't mind one bit hooking a Ranger buddy / LEO up.

I'm getting ready to pull the "trigger" on another 512. Simply for the AA battery issue.

This is my primary reason for looking at that model.

I still haven't found much under $399 other than the occasional used one on E-Bay. I am always skeptical about those for some reason,,,,,

Question the Chinese knock offs: Could they be worth the $85 bucks?

I doubt it, one site had a break down of the fakes, having internal parts held together with tape doesnt sound to spiffy.

I will be talking to the HH6's dad this weekend. I may be able to do a group buy, and get a bigger discount. He has many suppliers, but Sports South is his main one. If I can get a group buy going on, would you guys be interested?

Wholesale for the 512 is $350, then tax. I will crunch the numbers and see what I can come up with. I can have everything delivered to him, then ship out to you all.

PM me if interesed, and I will work the angles. If I can drop ship directly, I will let you all know.

On ar15.com they can be found in the equipment exchange. Slightly used with Larue mount for a little over $300 is the best price I have seen. I should have jumped on it.

Take a look at Larue Tactical. Their combo deals get you a mount with it and you end up basically getting the mount for free. They have good LEO discounts as well (though they don't always apply to combo deals).

Also, Macknlou on EBAY are legit and have great prices on authentic items. They (ebay) have a cash back program that pays you anywhere from 8%-20% back. You go to live.com and do a search for what you want. Click on the ebay link that has a cash back symbol next to it and pay with paypal. Your rebate money gets put back in paypal.

I got an Aimpoint T1 from Macknlou for $480 last year.

ETA: Just checked and the cashback program seems to be down at the moment....

Also check out the Equipment Exchange on AR15.com for good deals on used EOtechs.

Beware of fakes, as they are common on ebay and what not.
