Possibly building an AR-15

Hello Rangers, servicemen of all branches, future soldiers, prior servicemen, and everyone else.

I may possibly be getting an AR-15 rifle kit from del ton. It is the M-4 16" barrel kit. It seems pretty good. I am looking at the upper-receiver currently. What scares me about it is the barrel. It is as i said 16" but is 1x9. Does anyone have any experience with these kits? As with anything I buy, I use the philosophy you get what you pay for.
