Re: Feet Going Numb while Running
Have you thought about any sort of compartment syndrome? Some people to get a build up of pressure in the lower leg. This could slow down blood flow and therefore give you the ‘sleep’ sensation then numbness beyond that point. A constant pace run could cause that to build up. I would expect some pai...

Re: UN Report: 'War on Terror' Hurts Women, 'Transgendered'
This will work with just about any crime, lets just change the words a bit... Scheinin also determined that "serial killing ass rapists" families have their rights violated by the detention of male "serial killer ass rapers". “Female family members... bear the burden of anxiety,...

Re: UN Report: 'War on Terror' Hurts Women, 'Transgendered'
Scheinin also determined that terrorists' families have their rights violated by the detention of male terrorists. “Female family members... bear the burden of anxiety, harassment, social exclusion and economic hardship occasioned by the loss of the male breadwinner,” he found. The fact that women ...

Re: Female MOS
I would encourage her to go the Military Intelligence route. x2 Thats what I talked my brother into doing when he commissioned. I would not advise going Intel unless she really wants to. Although I am an Infantry officer (and therefore have a different outlook on life), I just got done with a tour ...

Re: Army Cadet Accessions - I'm about to get hammered
Let me give you a harsh reality moment: What you say is true today, but OIF and OEF will not last for more than a few more years. Following Korea and Viet-Nam, we had massive Reductions in Force (RIF), and following Desert Storm we had Selective Early Retirement Boards (SERB) to rebalance the offic...

Re: Army Cadet Accessions - I'm about to get hammered
What about taking branch detail IN to MI then going SF on them. Kind a reverse back stab. They love the extra time commitments. I just read a report on the massive bleed off of midgrade officers buy SSI. The 'precommission' commitments are a big push for them. ie accepting 3 extra years for branch o...

Re: Ed's dead, baby... Ed's dead.
Kennedy died surround by family last night. Well at least he got to see his family for 40 more years than Mary Jo Kopechne. Mary Jo Kopechne RIP. (Wonder if Dan Rather will be showing any documents about his dad keeping him out of Korea.) Even if he agreed with every political view I have. If that h...

Avoid Creatine unless you are in a gym only environment i.e. no deploying, schools, military training, etc. We had a guy go down for heat stroke IN MOTT LAKE of all places while using ‘runners creatine’. In Iraq saw 2 soldiers go down while using Creatine. I am brain farting on the medical term but ...

Re: Who were the greatest military leaders?
Retired CSM Charles Thorpe, 82nd Airplane Gang CSM. My first experiance with him was when I was 13 and my dad was one of his 1SG's. Ugly and scary. made me think of Sergeant Major Basil Plumley -"What are you a fucking weatherman now?" Lt. Colonel Hal Moore - "Oh, yes, and one more t...
