Welcome.
My wife is a Saluki (or however you spell it). Best of luck with the packet. Hope no one higher up gets in the way.

The guy with the tattoo on his dick - it wasn't the 'tunnel rat' was it?
How many dick tattoos could there be in the army in the 90s?

It's the stupidest rule there is. Getting hurt on AD and sticking it out 20+ are two totally different things. I think it's one of the biggest insults to military folks out there. I cannot say this enough. It is not unfair to "Military folks" it is a slap in the face of retirees. Sent by ...

I want to see Abraham Lincoln versus Mahatma Gandhi.
Lincoln has the reach and top-hat weapon, but Gandhi has wicked endurance and distracting flowing robes.

If I can make one suggestion it is this: be persistent. Not 'pain in the ass' persistent, but persistent.

Cut off his tattoo and give it to me. If he's as fat as you say he is I can use it as a flag.

There are a few companies that will etch it onto marble. I got the Ranger Creed on a nice piece of black marble in my office.
That really is a cool poem.

Re: "Concurrent receipt"
Those are the rules, unfortunately. Biggest bunch of bullshit there is. I ran the numbers after I broke my back. If I punched out after 4 years and got my VA disability versus staying in and getting retirement with a 'concurrent receipt' pay cut, the math didn't add up. It was better for me to get o...

Re: injury in training
I had 2 broken wrists prior to going in, including a plate and seven screws. Then I broke my back and still stayed in another 2.5 years.
My point - if you want it, it doesn't hurt.
Good luck.

Re: Four Winds Curse?
I don't know if the curse is true or not, but I had my first Ranger Burger about an hour after RS graduation. I didn't want to offend the fickle hand of fate. And I'll bet it made it's grand exit 10 minutes later? My digestive system was WAY screwed up for weeks. A few bites of anything and I'd be ...

Re: Calloused Achilles Tendon Area?
That area of my foot is one that always had/has a callous. However, it was always irritated and never built up like other areas. I used to have blisters form with callouses overtop. When the blister broke, it was raw skin. Rinse, repeat.
