Re: SITREP - Veronica

That situation with the alcohol poisoning was just the sort of thing I was talking about- but not exclusively. DUI, fights, “I’ll-advised” relationships...stoopid shit (as opposed to stupid) young soldiers always do toward the end of their training that destroys everything they’ve worked for. Be sma...

Re: SITREP - Veronica

Keep up the great work, but do take care of yourself and allow yourself to heal. Oh, and don't make any bad personal decisions that will negate all your accomplishments thus far. Thanks for the sit rep.

I remember Cardiac Hill in no uncertain terms. This, and the jump towers, are my reference points when I’m looking at Benning on Google maps.

Re: Introduction- Ty

Roger Ranger Disinfertention, I decided instead to do a distance run on one day, and track sprints the next, I'll alternate as well as gradually increase distance. Sounds as though you should have at least some working knowledge of the idea of "training smart" if you're already an athlete...

Re: SITREP - Kyle

I remember that trip to Benning in eerie detail, even though (holy shit) that was 30 years +1 month ago. Check in and provide sit reps as you’re able; but most importantly, do what you need to do to succeed: mission first.

Once you get there in your training, please provide some feedback on whether or not my suggest treatments is consistent with what you learned as a 68W; and if so, the mechanisms behind the injury and the why this treatment helps.

Re: Introduction - Veronica

I’ve massage works for me. Fill styrofoam cup about 2/3 the way up and freeze. Peel the foam away to expose just enough as as you need; do small rotations over the entire affected area for 10 minutes or; but take care to not focus on a small area too long least you suffer some freeze damage. You cou...

Re: Introduction - Veronica

Don’t worry about the throwing up when you run thing. A Ranger buddy of mine puked on every run, every day. Just show those behind you the courteousy of stepping out of formation while you do what you need to do. Just don’t stop. Never stop.
