I was wondering wtf Eggbanjo stood for until I read Immediate Action by Andy McNab last week. :) So, Welcome Fried Egg Sandwich :) I met some guys you probably served with in Rhode Island in 1986 at the Rhode Island Special Forces National Guard Parachute Competition. Two of them were from Aldershot...

Ranger Slowpoke: I had to share this joke with a friend from Eastern Oregon .... his reply: 1. Baiting is still illegal in this state. 2. We only have black bears, not Grizzlies. 3. Environmentalists (typically vegans) smell and taste so awful that you usually have to grease 'em with pig suet to att...

There is a trigger job you can make on a glock to reduce the takeup and overtravel, combined with some other mods to get the trigger close to a decent 1911-style SA trigger. It involves putting set screws into the ejector housing, and cutting a stair-step in the trigger safety. The set screws elimin...

Its not supposed to do that. From what I've read, its a common occurence with the SVI INfinity Tri-glide trigger in the gun, it needs a tad bit more fitting where it engages the sear. You're in Wyoming? I don't know when I'll get that way, but if you get to Oregon, I'll round up some of my f...

Travis, I would use .38 Super for an Open gun with a compensator and red dot sight. I chose .40 for USPSA Limited Division, because you can get 20rds or 19+1. I'm still going to add a .45 ACP 1911 to the collection, probably get it built the same way. I load my own, and .40 Brass is plentiful, even ...

Lawdog, My Glock 17 is my primary defensive weapon, I feel the same way as you do about combat guns. I don't know that much about building 1911-type guns, but I do know that fitting it tight, and shooting it to break in will usually make the first 500+ rounds you shoot a little frustrating. I expect...
