Re: Sit Rep

Those holdover times are something else... However, I was lucky enough to get slotted for the last BAC class of the 08 year, so I had no holdover time; we simply "inprocessed" at holdover, went on 4 day pass for the Thanksgiving weekend, came back, and moved to 1/507. Now, however, I'm in ...

Re: Airborne School

What platoon and stick are you in, Hairy? Feel free to send me a PM. I'm here at BAC in the same class as you, and I was surprised to see so many people give up their RIP contracts, my friend included. The attitude towards RIP that I have right now is basically... if they want to fight me, I'm just ...

Re: SITREP from OSUT

Thank you for the correction Ranger gRavepc and nightcrawler, lack of attention on my part. Just to update the SITREP with a newer chapter, I've graduate from OSUT as of the 26th, and I'm on the ending part of my Thanksgiving pass. I'm lucky enough to be slotted for the last Airborne class of the ye...

SITREP from OSUT

Here on my 36 hour Family Day pass, I don't get how my other DEP buddies had gotten passes before... It's pretty much what I expected, the good times and the bad times. My PT scores are above 260, but my runs keep me back a lot. Latest scored was a 272, with these numbers: PU - 90 SU - 87 2M - 14:57...

Thank you for that exercise advice Ranger Bill, I'll give it a shot! Because I'm only about 4 weeks out from shipping out, I think I need to get my pushups back up to where I know they need to be. Nothing fancy, just regular pushups every other day to get back into the swing of things. No pullups, e...

SITREP

Well I haven't done real upper body exercise since the original post, and my wrist has been feeling better. The pain subsided over the first two weeks of break, but it still feels funny and has a twinge of discomfort every now and then. I've picked up my M1 replica drill rifle again, and I'm startin...

Rangers, do you think it would be a good idea to get an MRI on the wrist? I had an X-Ray done a long time ago, and all of the bone structures were intact and in place.

Roger that Rangers PocketKings, Flesh Thorn, and Ranger Bill. Thank you. I'm going to rest the wrist for 4 weeks, and then after that keep it light with just bodyweight workouts like pushups and pullups, though not too often, as per the advice of Ranger Ranger Bill. In the meantime I'm going to keep...

To rest or not to rest

I've come across a problem, Rangers, and I hope that you can guide me in the right direction. Around September/October of 2007, I hurt my wrist pretty badly. It didn't start hurting after any specific event, but rather as I was relaxing I noticed that bending it a certain way caused a lot of discomf...

I hope to see you in Minor Mayhem soon, Il Segugio... just because you're a fancy prancy college boy doesn't mean you're above us other DEP's

Just curious, what does "overmuscled' mean?

1001 in 44 minutes, April or May of 2007.

If I need to make another, more recent attempt, I sure will; I'm going to be in this club one way or the other!

Roger that Rangers Lefty, Bravo57, and Ranger Bill. I will do everything within my ability to learn, grow, and progress in all areas before shipping out. I refuse to let this contract go to waste, and I sure as damn hell refuse to let myself down before I'm dead and buried!

SITREP

I signed my Option 40 yesterday (no more Option 4, did some hard-thinking and decided not to be a pussy about it) and swore in at my local MEPS station. I'm now in the DEP/"Future Soldier" program, and my shipdate is 20080805. I followed the advice on this website and got as many benefits ...
