Re: Introduction - Taylor

Good job on sticking to your guns and getting what you wanted. BTW prepare to freeze your ass off at Benning in the Fall/Winter. Won't start getting real cold till Nov. but and least you get to leave for exodus. FYI check to see about your leave days during exodus. I was told by my recruiter that I ...

Re: What's In Your DVD Player

Watching "Stripes" for the 2nd time in my life, 1st since my service time....pretty funny, forgot that Judge Reinhold was in the flick. I loved how when they "enlisted" all they did was sign a paper in front of the recruiter and they were off. John Candy calling the Company CO &q...

Re: Favorite shows on TV or series

Haven't watched The Wire for awhile, but it's a great show. Right now American Dad is pretty funny, Roger the Alien steals the show like Homer on the Simpsons and Zoidberg on Futurama. Man vs Food is entertaining on the Travel Channel. Gangland and Lockdown are a couple of favs as well. Planet Earth...

In Wikipedia: In the Army Hendrix got into trouble with the law twice for riding in stolen cars. He was given a choice between spending two years in prison or joining the Army. Hendrix chose the latter and enlisted on May 31, 1961. After completing boot camp, he was assigned to the 101st Airborne D...

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d5/Waterboard3-small.jpg OK, so I wasn't quite sure what waterboarding actually was, so I looked it up and my initial assumptions were correct. It appears that it doesn't actually kill, or even harm you, so how can it be effective? Isn't the whole thing be...

Re: Option 40 and the Prior Service Soldier.

6 months of training=Contract of 3years 24 weeks[/quote] I signed for 4 years 18weeks. Not sure were the 18 weeks came from. I go to WTC for 5 weeks, then OSUT AIT at Benning for 7 weeks, then it gets a little confusing because normally you would go to Airborne then RIP but I'm already Airborne qual...

Good job man, that's great that you stuck with it and got what you wanted. Curious though, I'm interested in how much the Army is giving bonuses out for these days, and also how long are you going to have to wait before being shipped. If you are uncomfortable throwing it out here you can PM me or j...
