Just Rumour

The reson that LRRP was changed to LRP, was because the clerk typists had a problem spelling, Reconnaissance. I don't know about "C" company, but I don't think the mission chaged for the Herd Lurps ,when they became the 74th LRP. Maybe someone who was there for that transition could clarif...

I was with the 173rd LRRP from June 66 to april 67. Currently living in central Florida, retired.
