Wouldn't want a bumbling oaf like me out there on the battlefield.

Re: Unformed

So, what did your comment mean? I'm not calling your out. I'm asking for information. Is something amiss? Thanks for allowing me to clarify Ranger Bill, I was a bit confused that he was a college grad and he was choosing to enlist so that he could become a Ranger, even though Officers are eligible ...

Aha, that helps to explain it.

As you suspected, my Break In Service was too long to qualify for Blue to Green.
Also, I believe you may have me confused with Ulfhedin who was an SP in the AF. I was a Personnelist (3S0X1).

Thanks for the input.

Ranger Abell9, my comment was in response to this portion of his intro:
I graduated from Florida Tech a few years ago with degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics.
Not his ASVAB score

But just in case, I'm doing 20 push ups, and 20 more for responding :D

CRAP! I was feeling pretty good about my 95 I just tested at a couple weeks ago, 'till you said that!

Welcome to the board. I'm new here too.

PS: Why are you not going in as an Ociffer?

If you have a PHR, and do "get stuck" with an admin MOS, you need to lean hard toward 42A as a MOS. It's a direct feed into the warrant ranks, and with your background, age, etc. that's where I would go if I were you. Of course, the Army promotion system (if you're not familiar with it) i...

Thank you Rangers, others.. SITREP: I went to the recruiter to get taped this morning. I'm still at 26% (They want me to be 24%) My wife taped me at 22%, but these guys are so friggen paranoid about me being bounced out of the MEPS by this old guy they refer to as "Doc" who apparently tape...

I saw it today, and it was fantastic! The Normandy beach assault was incredibly heroic, sad to see the great men collapsing from gunfire, but to see them swarm those bunkers was a sight to behold. The amazing courage and determination.. And to hear about how the phrase "Rangers, Lead the way!&q...

Yes thank you for your service, and your continued service.

It sounds like our airport screeners could learn a lot from someone like you. You'd make a fantastic NTSA or FBI agent, and you'll make a fantastic Army Doctor.

I wish you all the best in your endeavor.

First of all, thank all of you for your support. After my long battle through the recruitment process (and MEPS), the final answer was I am ineligible to enlist into the infantry due to my prior service MOS (whatever the crap that means). My only chance now is to transfer over from within. Your sto...

PS: I've loaded an American flag avatar from the avatar "Flag" section several times, and it shows it when I click on my profile page, but not when I post. I didn't want anyone to think I haven't selected one as the rules stipulate. Thanks.

But why are you here and in what MOS are you interested? Thank you Ranger Bill. I'm just here to learn and share with other like-minded military and ex-military folks. I'm excited about joining the Army and making a difference in our generation's fight with an "ism". Our grandparents foug...
