Re: New Multicam uniforms?
Even better is the Arcteryx design. That is, if you're well enough off to cough up over 500.00 a set.

Plate Carriers
Looking for a new one. Grey Group carries Paraclete and Mayflower. I like the releaseable Paraclete carrier, but for 610.00 it's a bit steep. The mayflowers were a bit too "slick", and the materials seemed of a cheaper grade. London Bridge Trading Co had some I thought of checking out this...

Re: Army Service Uniform (new blues)
It looks like the only thing that has changed from the old Class A is that you now wear a metal unit patch on your pocket. Everything else is the same. That patch that you wear on your right breast pocket is the Combat Service Badge. It's kind of strange, but there is actually no place on the unifo...

Re: Is tinnitus a disualifier?
I picked mine up in Regiment, and there's nothing I've ever been able to do to heal it. That being said, I came back in with tinnitus being one third of my 30% disability rating, and they didn't even bat an eye. You just have to know which frequencies it tends to mask during your hearing test, and c...

I sleep with a SOG Seal knife in hand, under my pillow, when I'm downrange. Not the half-pint Seal Pup, but the real deal. Just sayin'MarineRanger wrote: Some marine from another unit had snuck into our barracks ... and one of our baby-faced marines woke up to find this f...."

Regiment always needs good 13Fs, and it's a great job as well. Check into it.

Re: Werewolves!
I asked the outgoing chaplain the same question when he mentioned it. Apparently these guys have a website, a code of conduct, and some type of membership, enough elements so that the Army recognizes it as a religion of sorts. Some guys list "Jedi" on their ID tags.

Re: Werewolves!
Proud of a son who wears makeup, long hair, fangs, a tail, and puts a leash on himself... Nice one, mom. The kids are lost, because their parents are lost. It's just about as ridiculous as the Army recognizing "Jedi Knight" as a religion. First time I find one of them I am going to take hi...

Re: Stew Smith Spec OPS E-Book
I used the Stew Smith Navy SEAL workout book about eight years back to prep a friend for BUDs. He never went, but it got him in fine shape. It takes about three hours per morning when you get into the weeks with the highest repetitions, but that includes the swim time as well. I'd recommend you keep...

Re: Record of RS attendees?
Don't worry about blank slates. Don't worry about the opinions of brass or others who may nay say. What you should have replied to that officer was "Sir, I don't care if the RIs have already conspired to NoGo every single patrol I'm given, tell them they can bring it on. I'm coming anyway."...

Good progress! Keep working. Good rule of thumb: At least a dozen of your pushups won't count when you are tested at RIP, so pad it by being able to do millions. RLTW EP "forty-eight, forty-eight, forty-eight, forty-eight..." Being fit before hand will minimize their ability to screw with...

Re: Chance of leave after grad?
We received two weeks leave after graduation, but that was due to block leave. I guess I should say that all of the graduates assigned to *3rd batt* received two weeks leave. I imagine that this still happens.
