I'd like to second the Pastor's statements... The older generation of Rangers has passed the ammo to a newer generation. Time has marched on. We have had our fears that this new generation might somehow be lacking. We could not have been farther from the truth. Two nights ago I had the pleasure of c...

I was joking with the pretty nurse up front and told her I needed a finger wave. OK, first we'll check out yer vit...

7 DECEMBER 1977

7 DEC 77 was the 33rd anniversary of Pearl Harbor, and it was also the day that I joined the Army.

Today marks my 28th year in the Mean Green.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Starting to get a bit old...

Summer Block Leave, 1979, and in the last BN formation prior to departing for home, the WAD got up on his PT stand and told us that we would be having a 20 mile run the morning we got back, so be sure to do some PT at home, and not drink TOO much beer, etc. etc. etc. I'm a dumbass, so it went in one...

Haven't worn them yet, but have been around mucho folks wearing them. The only complaints I'm getting are that the forearm pencil stash needs to be covered to prevent snagging on the pencil / pens (to be fixed in the MOD 3 ACU) and that the velcro on the sleeves gets full of crap in the desert (easy...

Fast and Steady wins the race. Don't run if you don't have to. The bouncing of the ruck will take more out of you than you're gaining by having such a gait. Strech out your gait as long as you can, and make it as fast as you can. Yes, it hurts. No, there isn't really any way around it. Walk fast, av...
