Re: Mathematics of war

Ranger Iusus; Nothing at all. Short based on attack on the USA? I don't short on predictions like that. Somehow, I doubt you would either. Maybe I misunderstood. Are you saying you predicted a 9/11-type event a year in advance and the resulting stock market decline (essentially one concurrent event...

Re: Mathematics of war

I myself use a combination of traditional and non-traditional methods. Not just data. This is how I predicted a 9/11 event a year in advance and the huge fall in the stock market. DrD I predict you can't accurately post a meaningful prediction like the aforementioned examples so that anyone can act...

It's been more important for them fuckers to produce the next large size, high dollar gas guzzler. They've made a, meager at best, attempt to produce something affordable and economical. Car companies produce what people want to buy. When gas prices are low, people buy big heavy cars that go fast. ...

>>Because I think he's only going to continue Bush's policies? (and we see how well that worked out.)<< Blaming the credit crisis on Bush just doesn't make sense. Those seeds were planted long ago. >>But damn, how long can they go on having policies that make them and their friends richer and fuck ...

I doubt mankind will ever get out of our own galaxy never mind traveling to other ones. Disagree. 100 years ago nobody envisioned the internet, cell phones, nanotechnology, etc. The pace of new inventions and technology usage is accelerating. Billions more people, some of them worth the oxygen they...

Two critters enter, one critter leaves! Cat is an old man but still got the blood lust.

Did you get a look at the tails at all? It shouldn't be opossums.

Could it be a gopher or ground squirrel?
Cant see the tail, they are all snugged in tight to each other faces out. Not pulling good security either, all three sleeping.

RangerX wrote:Got any pics? What area do you live in?

It's almost certainly not possums, but they sound a lot like field rats.
I'll post a pic tomorrow. I live in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland Ohio. I do see lots of possums, skunks and rabbits around, but I guess they could be rats of some sort.

Animal Question

Question for you squirrel-eaters and mountain folk. Out in the back yard the dog discovered a little burrow in the side of a hill with a bunch of ivy and hostas (low ground covering). Its looks to be about 6 inches deep and its lined with gray fur, presumably pulled from the mother. Three little cri...

Re: A Very Long Engagement

Initially I thought this was going to be a chick flick, but someone told me about it. :D Its in French, with subtitles (and it has Jodie Foster, playing a bit part, in French... she gets naked too) Jodie Foster naked ? I'm in. Unless I'm missing something, you left out one part of your great movie r...

Things will start getting really interesting when (not if) gasoline hits $25.00 a gallon at the pump. I don't think it will be much more than 50 years from now when it gets this high. Demand destruction will occur way before you see $25/gallon. We'll be driving electric cars first, and do-gooders w...
