I do remember one kid that did go OSUT, Airborne, Ranger School and then RIP but it was a goof on the part of the Army they messed up his orders. Ive read "To Be A U.S. Army Ranger" by Russ Bryant. Very good book! Also "U.S. Special Forces" by Alan M. Landau & Frieda W. Landau. Has a good section on Rangers. and also "Airborne" by Tom Clancy.

I was considering getting mine out before I ship to prevent any problems during my training pipeline. Would this require a waiver or cause any problems? I mentioned it to my recruiter and he told me to get it done afterwards. It just all depends on the person. Everyone handles and takes it differen...

Hey all Rangers and DEPs, Name is Will im 18 and enlisted about a month ago. I have an 11x Contract with option 40. I ship out for basic on March 30th, 2004 and leave for Airborne Training on July 26, 2004. Look forward to being a member on the site and learning a lot more.
