Re: College gun bill approved

Thanks for the replies. I suppose that in most cases the individuals with the concealed weapon would have had the training to use it in a way that would at least aid in diffusing the situation (as in the example above where the attempted rapist ran from the house while his buddy was killed). Are the...

Re: College gun bill approved

Is the thought process with legislation such as this that an individual with a gun in a threat situation would engage the threat, or that they would scare said "bad guy" away? My wife was within rock throwing distance when things went down at Virginia Tech, so this topic is close to my hea...

Re: SF NG AGE WAIVER

I am currently with 20th grp. I am not sure how applicable this is to your situation, but we had a guy attempt to interstate transfer from Georgia to our company, and his Georgia was able to hold him in some way. I had previously thought that interstate transfer trumped everything in the guard. With...

I just looked at the school house power point to refresh my memory. Looks like Benning phase is 20 days, day 21-41 will be spent in mountains, 42-56 in Florida, and the last week out processing and graduation. Hope that helps.

Is a gap between PRC and RS allowed?

Question for anyone who may know the National Guard Standards for Ranger School attendance. I have a solider in my unit who wants to do PRC between Selection and starting the Q course. (apparently he cant start the Q right away due to some reason unknown by me). If I recall correctly, once you finis...

NJINLEG,
I was in that battalion up until a month ago. You are going to a good company with a good commander. Let me know if you have any questions about the unit or otherwise.

Xian, First, you can just call me Kildagin at this point, think you've earned it. I will list a few of the general things to help you, if you have anything more specific, just ask. Again, this information is over six months old, and the course may have been drastically changed. PT wise, if you can p...

I attended the course the end of last year (graduated second week of December I believe. I can try to answer any specific questions you may have. Hopefully someone else will chime in that has been more recently, as the instructors said they were preparing to go through a large POI change the first q...

Shoot the boss in the kitchen. He will hide in the next room. Shoot the chandelier down onto his head, when he stands to run away, kill him.

I was diagnosed by the family doctor as having "allergy induced asthma" when I was about 12 years old. The cat died and I was magically healed. I NEVER told anyone throughout the recruiting process that I had used an inhaler in the past, and supposedly had asthma. I would never advise anyo...

ghillie suits?

Going to RSLC myself in a few weeks. A ghillie suit is on the packing list as recommended. I know jack about ghillie suits, and doubt that any attempt on my part at making one would be useful at this point. Does anyone know if it will be a big disadvantage for me to show up down there without one? T...

Welcome to the site, Sir. I thought you could only boner once in school then it was the dufflebag drag phase. I recycled twice, but not the same event/phase. Mountains was my favorite phase, because it was the only one I didn't do twice. So yeah, bolo'd twice, but once in darby, and once in ...

Alright, shit got called out on that quick. Let me know if I still fail to make the standard. Names Mike, enlisted in National Guard in 98, was influenced by a couple of my high speed drill sergeants who were Ranger qualified, but that always seemed more a dream than reality as slots for any schools...
