Re: GPS at Ranger School

Ranger School is a joke...it's in need of a MAJOR overhaul which isn't going to happen anytime soon. Advocating the use of a GPS with the reasoning that it's done overseas is about as narrow-minded as you can get. Wait until we go to war in triple canopy jungle again. Everyone will be wondering why ...

RSLC,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn. It has taken those guys fucking years to catch up with what you need to do to be successful. Too many of those dudes are stuck with mind set of digging fucking holes and shitting in MRE bag's I couldn't have said it better myself. It has taken thos...

Well, I left F CO 5 months ago for a reason. Why? http://www.armyranger.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=34340&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Part of the problem today is that DA is assigning newly commissioned officers right out of IOBC as PL's there. They have no business being there. When I g...

Yes, F/51st is a part of 525 unfortunately. Implementation of the new MTOE is coming along very slowly. 88M's are starting to show up as well as 13F's. Hood's LRSC is being stood up as we speak. That timeline is probably when both Detachments of the LRSC are to be stood up at Bragg with all elements...

Here's my take on this whole BfSB and LRS thing and it's probably going to be the only thing that I say about it. I've been at F CO for over 3 years now and have served at every position from SO to TL. Did we do LRS missions in Iraq? Yes, absolutely and at the strategic level. I was all over that go...

If you guys are looking for a LRS unit on the active side, F Co., 51st is the place to be. I have been in the unit since 03 and deployed twice with them. Great unit, great guys!
Dude, you were kicked out of F CO and now work up at 519th MI. Give it up.

FNG

Rangers and LRP's, Posting an intro as per SOP. Not a huge fan of military websites, not because of the company but more of an OPSEC thing, but some good posts here especially in the Recon section. I thought maybe I could throw my 2 cents in where applicable. My backround: 3.5 yrs in the Army, all i...
