While I don't have experience with RIP I did just finish Ariborne school and I can tell you that the rumors were flying between the OPT 40's. In one night sitting the CQ desk I had 3 come in wanting to talk to the 1sgt about dropping their OPT 40 contract for various bad to really bad reasons. I sen...

You might take a look at the dismounted recon troops in the RSTA squadrons if you are looking for deployments doing that kind of recon. MTOE includes two platoons with 3 recon sections in each, a sniper element, and mortars. All 11B slots except for the morters and fisters. I think these units will ...

I'm pretty shure they jumped from 47's and know they got a couple guys from one team stuck in some trees off the DZ.

I believe technically they have lost jump status but I know they did a night jump into Camp Swift last month so they are still jumping.

They will chop over to my battailion sometime this spring and I will know a lot more about it then.

G-143 in Houston isn't a LRS anymore. They are currently G troop, 124 CAV (Brigade Recon Team) and will soon be C troop, 112 CAV (RSTA). As C Troop they will be the dismounted troop for the RSTA Sqd and will be all 11B's as per the MTOE.

I can get you contact info for the unit if you would like.

Cold weather gloves

Can anybody make some suggestions on a good set of gortex insulated gloves that will actually stand up to field use? Everything I have seen looks like it would break down pretty fast after any kind of field use and I would like something with more warmth and dexterity than the issue glove liners and...

Ranger B2/75,
Can you explain your point a little more.

I guess I don't understand if you are wearing them together and the plate hanger holds the plates in the same position as the IBA and you wear it over the IBA, as G&G suggested. What would be the problem?

Lucky shot on running target....at 750 yards.

This redneck gets off a pure luck shot, but it's something to see. I'm not sure why they are taking this shot because it's not that hard to get in to about 100 yards from a Pronghorn. I'm also not sure the stated distance is corrent, because a Pronghorn looks pretty damn small at 750 yards but I gue...

They don't have anybody in charge, they have allied themselves with so many fringe groups that oppose the status quo that it is what they have become. They are nothing more than a large conglomeration of fringe elements that have nothing uncommon except they oppose the status quo and can there for n...
