This was an eye opener for me, in the early 80's everyone at 1st Batt. was getting 30-50 jumps a year and over half were night combat equipment with -1B canopies, I would say less then 5 were t-10 jumps. Some days we would take a chinook and a pallet of chutes for a platoon and make 5-6 hollywood ju...

Did he starve because you didnt share your chow. .........................WAR STORY ALERT...............ALERT....

I found my 2 years of Architectural Engineering gave me a deep understanding of the dynamics involved in the front leaning rest position especially as it applied to the elevating of feet. Toys R Us or whatever your name is, be sure and tell your DI's , Blackhat's at airborne school, and TAC's at RIP...

Sarcasm ???

Just wait till you get out and find that everyone who was ever in the Army was at one time or another "going to be a Ranger but........", and everyone who was never in the Army thinks you put out forest fires for a living.

built me a new toy

Built me one of those high speed, low drag ruger 10/22 rimfire bull barrel plinkers last night. 6-24 x 42 tactical scope and all. The war on vermin in my AO has just entered a new level of hostility. Off to zero it tomorrow. Would a ghillie made of a picnic blanket be applicable for rural, rodent an...

Those guys get kind of lonely after a while and start talking about the good old days and spooning in winter training with a passion that is downright scary. Class 4-80 was a genuine "white thread" winter class...froze my ass off. It was the first time I heard the phrase "Im not quee...

Re: checking in from airborne school

jumped off the 34 foot towers today, a little nerve wracking at first but it was pretty fun. . Try dicking around and getting your ass kicked out of the tower with only one riser hooked up, its muuuuuch more fun. And remember for maximum comfort in the swing landing trainer always keep your leg str...
