Welcome Ranger.

And, you sound oh so motivated. I recommend...ETS (no shame, I only did 5 years myself). But, civilian life sucks..so mentally prepare yourself.

Hmmm, maybe I don't recomend ETS :?

Alright since apparently my intro sucked and im too stupid to figure out if there is an edit button i'll redo it for you all: Hello Sir's, allow me to pay homage to you all (you can picture me bowing here with a cape on or whatever ) I respectfully request permission to post on this board. I served...

Your intro is a little on the weak side. A one sentence intro doesn't reflect well on 3rd Bn. It makes us look stupid and lazy. And we both know thats not true.............don't we? Welcome anyway. We do ? Yup. Unlike 2nd Bn running around chasing dope smoking, hairy armpit, none muff trimming Gree...

Very nice catch by TN. I do have the original handguards and pistol grip but not readily available. I totally forgot they came with the rifle when I bought it. I will try and dig up this week so I can post pics in the original furniture. As for the flash suppressor, credit to TN again based on my re...

Nope, that would be illegal (in my state anyway).

Anyway, full auto firearms are a waste IMO. Tri-burst is up for debate, but there is nothing better for wasting ammo and hitting jack shit than a full auto.

In case you've never seen an SP1

Some of you newbs have never seen a true AR15 SP1. This was the shit available to civilians starting back in the mid 70s (date may be off here, can't recall exact date of SP1 model). Anyway, I've been pulling shit out of the mothballs since I realize I have been neglacting my duty of keeping up on t...

Welcome mrswalkup. I would recommend going. When I graduated, I was high as a kite for a week. Definitely one of the best days of my life. Having someone to share that with is important. Hell, my mother, father, brother, and sister drove down from NY for my grad. As for your co-workers - screw 'em.

Good sitrep. Reading it brought back some memories from my days in OSUT.
