Terrorist Sub?

Wasn't sure where to post this. Thought it deserved a read, though. It gets interesting around the 5th paragraph of the article.

Ranger Neves-

Only found one other mention of JCT in this forum with no explanation and no mention of BSFET. Pardon the ignorance, but what do they stand for? Thanks.

Jumping/Skydiving

Rangers-

While you are in Bat, can you jump as much as you'd like to for training, or are you given a certain number of times per week or per month that they will allow you? Also, just out of curiosity, does anyone skydive outside of Bat in their free time? Thanks.

Ranger Poser?

Rangers- I was raised to never be a rat-bastard, but I know yall would want to know about people claiming to be Rangers who seemed like they were not. This past weekend I flew to New Orleans to visit an old friend, and we were in The Cat's Meow on Bourbon St. getting hammered. This guy with a long b...

Rangers--about 4 years ago, some buddies and me signed up for a 2-day pistol course taught by one of our friend's fathers, who was an ex- U.S. Marshall. We shot .357 magnums, model 19 on a K-frame. i don't think they make that anymore. anyway, the first full day consisted of proper stances, differen...

I'm sorry, I think I miscommunicated to you. He never went to Vietnam. His unit never got called. He was on standby. But you hit the nail on the head, Ranger Pneves. He was regular Army, assigned to overlook whatever construction was going on from a nearby hilltop with his spotter. Never really did ...

Thanks Ranger Pneves. I knew you were assigned your primary weapon when you reached your unit, however, I didn't know it applied to sidearms as well. Thanks for clearing that up. One more question regarding sidearms: When my father was a Mississippi state trooper in the 70's, they had to qualify wit...

Choice of Sidearms

Hi Rangers- Yall talk about buying your own sidearms alot on here. Is this because you're retired, or does the Army allow you to purchase your own and carry it into combat? I was under the impression the Army had a shit-load to choose from, and you just took your pick. Am I wrong in thinking this??

Geneva Conventions

I've heard it's against the conventions to fire at soldiers as they're parachuting to the ground...is this true?

Thank you, Ranger EarthPig. I appereciate the second chance. My question is this: One of my favorite movies is Full Metal Jacket (I know it's about USMC, but maybe yall can help me out). During the rifle training part, the recruits were firing the M-1. ("Private Pyle! I think we finally found s...
