Actually, in real life, the 506th now consists only of it's 1st Battalion. The 1/506th Infantry (Air Assault) is now part of the 2nd Infantry Division, stationed out of Camp Greaves, Republic of South Korea. Camp Greaves is about 3 km south of the DMZ.
