swimming

i'm starting to incorporate new things into my workout which now consists of weight training and running.

what types of swimming should i work on, that will be most beneficial to me on the CWST?

I used to be a decent swimmer, I just havn't had to do it for a while.

Thanks, Rangers :)

Thank you, Ranger Jim. That definately worries me, but only time will tell. My training will get more intense leading up to leaving for OSUT, so if anything will happen hopefully it will occur prior or during OSUT. I havn't had problem yet, and I've been beating on it. Alot of running, weighted exer...

Thank you, Ranger Chiron. I'm definatly not rushing into anything. I will be signing up in a few weeks. And I've been running and weight lifting for the past 4 months to prepare my body, but as i've said, i have a long way to go. I'm getting stronger, but I still need to work on push ups and running...

I quit smoking 4 months ago, to give everything I could when I decided to join. It would be in your best interest to do so as well, especially if you're going Option 40.

Thank you, Rangers :) I've come alone way and gone though alot, but realisticly it's only the tip of the ice berg. I have a very long way to go, and am constantly working to get in better shape. I dont plan on leaving until the mid-end of summer, and i plan on quitting my job a few months before i l...

Well I havn't posted on this site for quite a while. As I said in my first post, I was in a motorcycle accident in June and broke my fibula, and had a 6" plate and 6 screws on my fibula. It appeared everything was going to go fine regarding the previous injury and I was scheduled to go to MEPS....

Good find, Ranger Chiron. There are a few of those that i really liked! I dont mean to go off topic, and I apologize if it upsets you (if it does, I will delete my post), but everytime I hear this it gives me goosebumps: In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the ...

Thank you again, Ranger K.Ingraham.

I love the site, and the literature that is available here to read is much of value.

This bump in the road only makes me want it more, and it's just an obstacle to overcome.

Thanks again

Thank you, Ranger K.Ingraham. I'm not going to let this hold me down. I have an appt. with my orthopedic surgeon today to talk about getting it out. In the mean time, I'm going to go back to school and get a few more credits and go in as a PFC, and it gives me more time to work out and to work out h...

The medical documents needed to state CLEARLY that the metal hardware was no longer required to support the leg. If it didn't say this, and you didn't go back to the doctor to get the paperwork to say this, you can probably understand the rest. Thanks for the response, SFC Hit_It. My recruiter told...
