Re: Introduction-Alek
Rangers, I know it has been quite some time. I was waiting for months to hear back from the Surgeon General, who ended up denying my waiver around Christmas. However I decided to not accept that and scheduled a meeting with my Congressman who said he would have his office reach out to a contact at t...

Re: Ranger Recruiters at OSUT
This might be an outdated post but, I have done some digging due to the fact a medical waiver will not allow me to obtain and option 40 in my contract. I contacted the 75th Recruiting department and they said they hold a Regiment Brief in every OSUT with however many available spots are open. If you...

Re: Introduction-Alek
Rangers,
I just spoke to my recruiter and MEPs has requested additional medical paperwork pertaining to my waiver. I am taking this as good news because I was not outright disqualified.

Plate Carriers/Ruck
I am currently about 10 days away from hearing if my medical waiver should pass or not and I have started looking into rucks/plate carriers/boots to help prepare on top of running and lifting. For the ruck and boots GOruck seemed to be a one stop shop. They have a model called The Rucker which allow...

Re: Introduction-Alek
Rangers, Still waiting on the waiver information, but I took my ASVAB today and scored a 91 overall. Waiting on one last piece of paperwork and everything on my end will be complete. Thanks for everything again. Sounds like a solid score. Do you know what your GT score was? That is how most of us c...

Re: Introduction-Alek
Rangers, I have completed all my doctor appointments and take my asvab next week. My surgeon wrote me a clearance letter stating I was cleared for high impact physical activities with no restriction. My recruiter said it would be a month at most to hear about my waiver. I continue to workout and am ...

Re: Introduction-Alek
Ranger Disinfertention, The medical records that I need for the waiver have been ordered from the Medical Records department at the hospital where the surgery took place. The guy who did my surgery is no longer in the area so I am going to a different Orthopedic Surgeon and I will get a new MRI/Xray...

Re: Introduction-Alek
Ranger CharlieRanger1FFV, We spoke about waiver and I was told what exactly my doctor needs to say in order to be cleared to get the airborne physical at MEPs. Im hoping with the doctors approval the waiver will pass. My father also just sold his house to two O-6's, one of which is in charge of all ...

Re: Introduction-Alek
Rangers, Sorry about the delay in response. I wanted to finish up Paramedic classes and do some more research on my waiver. I have met with a recruiter and I am currently gathering all the documentation required to apply for a medical waiver. This could be a rather long process so I am going to star...

Re: Introduction-Alek
Ranger Disinfertention, My goal is to get an option 40 contract, I was originally just planning on 11x but I read some things about 13F and have been trying to research their role and responsibilities in Regiment. My med waiver is for a back surgery I had in 2011 which is why in 2014 no recruiter wo...
