Re: Technology is not your friend
Waze? Seriously???? Damn Israel, you should be ashamed of yourselves for using that app........ Google Maps would have been a better choice. For those who don't have high levels of geek in their blood - Waze is owned by Google. I've had a rental car GPS try to kill me on more than one occasio...

Re: Life in the 75th during Peacetime?
Peacetime? Just because Obama released a soundbite? Pfft.
Read beyond the headlines, American's are still getting wounded or killed in those "peaceful" locales.

I live about 45 minutes north of 285 outside ATL. Not familiar with Jailhouse, but if they stock it locally it is probably their IPA

Re: America Still in Love with Crap Beer
<beer rant> I have a serious case of the ass with most of the brewers that sell their stuff in Georgia right now. EVERY BREWER ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH DOES NOT NEED TO RELEASE AN IPA!!! Don't get me wrong, I love IPA. But Guinness IPA? Fuck off. It has gotten to the point where I can't find ANYTHIN...

Re: Kahr P380
I have a Kahr Thompson - I needed to do non-trivial work on the trigger to get it to reset properly. Won't bore you with the details but let's just say I was...irritated. In my research on the problem, I came across a LOT of complaints in regard to Kahr. Keep in mind I primarily shoot a 1911 in comp...

Re: not sure of husband's claim
What I'm saying is that IF your ex was a Ranger, that is not a guaranteed indicator of strong or continued integrity. Simply going to Ranger School or graduating the Ranger Indoctrination Program does not prevent him from being human with all the faults and foibles that accompany. So yes, he could h...

Re: Women should register for the draft
A better idea would be to remove selective service registration altogether. Until such time as we actually need to build the force beyond voluntary numbers, it does nothing. If ever we do reach that point, we are well past the time where we needed someone to mail in a form letting the government kno...

Re: not sure of husband's claim
Even if you husband served as a Ranger (Regiment) or was Ranger Qualified (Ranger School), please do keep in mind that is not a 100% of integrity, either at the time or ongoing. While we do have a stringent selection process and high standards for integrity, nothing is infallible. To paraphrase one ...

Re: Possible eyesight restrictions?
Skippy, you might want to check your attitude toward verified members of this board. Aside from the distinct possibility of getting locked out of a great resource, you might want to consider that some of the people you may encounter in your endeavors - should you even make it in to the Ranger commun...

Yes the Post-It note thing is an inside joke, we tend to amuse ourselves. Hang around long enough and you will see. Your questions aren't annoying, we just tend to be a little jaded, and my questions to you were an effort to get a better picture of whom we might be dealing with. From what you've men...

Have you ever seen his DD214? What timeframe did he supposedly serve in the Army? Where overseas did he supposedly serve?
