Re: Introduction-Dylan

Welcome, congrats on being a DEP. Continue PT. Learn and live the Ranger Creed. As for over the summer any A&P book would be good you are looking for an overall understanding of the structure and function of the body, the how and why it works the way it does. Do not get wrapped around the axle w...

Re: Introduction - Always_Strive

OK I have a question then. How is the MEPS doc getting your nystagmus? There is no vision test that I am tracking that has you looking directly at one point for over 30 secs. You do a typical H test where they have you watch the pen or whatever, if you get a little at the end points that is ok but i...

Re: Introduction - Always_Strive

Ok do you have nystagmus all the time or is it just at the end-point of your field of vision?

Re: Introduction-Juan

As Ranger Jim has said this is your life. I would not take your recruiter's word for it. Is this your first time taking the ASVAB? If so I am pretty sure you can retake it you just need to wait I believe it is at least 30 days. If this was a retake then it is 6 months. Something I would look into.

Re: Introduction- Kevin

I will start you with an EMT Basic book. This is not meant to insult your intelligence simply like I said to give you a foundation. This is also what you would need to pass at AIT if you choose to go the medic route. http://www.amazon.com/Emergency-Care-Transportation-Injured-Orange/dp/1284032841/re...

Do you have any civilian medical experience? Just trying to gauge what arena of books to send you into.

Re: Introduction- Charles

Ok Charles, first have you considered anything in intel given your background? You can hit up at least one on here who is an intel guy. I am not sure what kind of intel you do but I can assure you that most of them simply do not sit behind a desk. As for a deployment on a moment's notice. Your wife ...

Re: Introduction-WyvernRider117 (WARNING LONG READ)

Leonardo, A few things first I second whole heartedly what Sleepy Doc says so watch what you say. Second I have an idea about the Navy Nuclear program so why off hand would you go from that to an 11x Opt 40? No offense to the 11x guys but of you are as smart as you say you are why are your stopping ...

Re: INTRODUCTION

Austin, First consider getting yourself a good ASVAB prep book that should help you to raise your scores and set yourself up for success. OK I get the 11x Opt 40 as that is what 90% that come here look for but I am intrigued as to why the 12B and have you researched how many there are in Regiment an...

Re: RASP

First what does that mean does it portray RASP accurately? It was shot during a RASP class. And they took 8 weeks and make it into a 37 min video so using some simple deductive reasoning yes there is stuff cut out. It does not throw things off that documentary is a taste of RASP, it is by no means m...

Oh so doing your job now is getting a bad order. Missions taking longer than they are supposed too never happens.

I joined at 34 deployed at a later age than that. So no you will not sit behind a desk unless you want too.
