Re: Veteran detained for anti-government Facebook posts

RangerX does bring up a good point that younger generations should read and heed. For me and probably alot of FOG's it's not a big concern having our words come back to haunt us. Not like the majority of us are gonna be running for political office anytime soon. The job I'm at is probably the last t...

Re: Veteran detained for anti-government Facebook posts

RangerX is going to be a busy man insulting individuals on Facebook because there are a huge number of current and past SF operators and Rangers on there. And yes I'm talking legitimate ones not PC warriors.

Re: Veteran detained for anti-government Facebook posts

Pennsylvania has this same law on the books. It seems one of the problems is individuals who determine the mental state of the individual and whether what he said was a threat is a little too open for interpretation and in this case crossed the line. Not to mention the amount of time a person can be...

Re: Veteran detained for anti-government Facebook posts

Have to 100% agree with rgrokelley. If he was currently on active duty or on active status with the Guard or Reserves it would be different in my opinion. Then again the lines are getting so blurred anymore about wearing the uniform/awards and what soldiers can and can't do depending on what social ...

Re: Navy Seal writes book on Bin Laden Raid

I would be interested to hear what the United States Special Operations Command Commander has to say about one of his boys doing this seeing as how it's currently a former SEAL. In my opinion I think it's why they were the entity that was chosen to do the Bin Laden deed. In the interest of fairness ...

Doesn't do much for the Quiet Professional label the SOF community tries to project. Not really surprised though considering the unit.
I never liked the ACUs especially wearing them with a black beret. It didn't look right, and velcro would burn out after awhile.
Not to mention as we always said, "What sounds like Velcro in the woods?" Answer: Velcro in the woods.

Re: U.S. may send women to elite Ranger school

Someone obviously was watching their old GI Jane movie a little too much one weekend and got the bright idea this would be a great FORCED step in the right direction. Not really surprising I guess as we should have seen it coming once DADT was repealed. We can't have anyone feeling left out nowadays.

Re: Flag at half staff in Pennsylvania for Joe Paterno

Legacy = enabler of pedophiles History is a bitch It certainly is. The Paterno Blue and White Kool Aid drinkers are so blinded by their worship of this man they can't deal with the fact that when the time came to actually put the words he preached to others into action he failed miserably. He talke...

Re: Flag at half staff in Pennsylvania for Joe Paterno

In the interest of fairness I need to clarify what I said about Pennsylvania not giving our fallen troops from this state this honor. Governor Tom Corbett announced the state's flags at all state facilities would be lowered to half-staff through Paterno's burial, which basically means Monday through...

Re: Selection/Orders for RASP

you'll find out that the big army has this mindset that all the "high speed" units are all gung ho, hoah hoah and shit. you'll also find that that is not true. the more "high speed" you get, the less loud and obvious you try to be. Well said. Was at a PA National Guard function ...
