Re: Droning at school is fun!
Mountains-Walking on one of the roads that had a steep drop-off on one side and guys were just stepping off and rolling down, I'm amazed no one got hurt. I was walking along when we were on a trail and I looked up and saw a pick up with a trailer hitch on it, I jumped out of the way, looked back and...

Re: Army Mulls Women in Combat Arms Units
The head line one month after letting women in Combat Arms.
As an experiment the U.S. Army allowed 10,000 women to join the infantry. Within the first 2 weeks over 5 thousand were forced out due to pregancy. The remander demanded an MOS change, due largley to the behavior of their male peers.

Sling Load Training
I'm in charge of some Leader Certification for Sling Load Training/Air Assault mission training in March. My ASSLT/Pathfinder qual PLSG just droped a "I'M GOING TO 173 IN ITALY!" bomb this morning. I dunno he kept it on the down low then unloaded on us, but feel like I'm flapping in the br...

Re: "Its all about timing"
(sigh) For centuries it has always been thus - the young and ambitious have sought fame at the bubble of the cannon's mouth, only to learn the harsh lessons of death, dismemberment, and permanent scarring, whether physical or psychological. Do not fret, young man, stay the course and in time you wi...

"Its all about timing"
I've heard that if you’re an Infantry officer you get your tab and your golden, without it and your career is in jeopardy. Well the thing is it seems now that you need a tab, combat patch and CIB. Maybe it isn't that way but looking around at everyone I went to college and IOBC with I'm standing the...

Re: Reasons to Not Like Obama
I heard some bullshit about not letting anyone get their retirment money untill they turned 65. So when I can retire at 44 I have to wait 21 years to get my retirement pension. WTF!!

Re: Microfracture Knee Repair?
I've had 2 ACLs and a torn lateral meniscus (Lateral Meniscus is cartledege) the LM was scoped. Every once in while on rare occasions my knee will lock and I just push down on my thigh and it pops back. I made it fine tought Ranger School and it locked once in Mountains, but other than that is just ...

Re: "Excessive refraction"- Can I still go airborne?
I've always heard "correctable to 20/20" and thats for Airborne to SF to SEALs when I was in the Navy. I never heard any bullshit about "if your eyes are this bad without glasses." It's always been correctable to 20/20 that I've heard, things may have changed but I was at Airborn...

Re: Is Combat making Ranger school unneccesary?
There are alot of guys with the book ends (patches on both sleves) and a CIB and have a bad attitude about Ranger School. They figure they don't need it because they have been to combat and did just fine. But I see the guys with it do more and move harder and further than the guys without it, regard...
