Re: Random thought of the moment.
I suppose... if you are shooting Leonardo DiCaprio. Do you think he would volunteer?........nah. But don't ask me. I was the one hoping for him to fall off the bow in Titanic. Now for THAT, I would have given him an award. Oh and stop right there. I basically was "forced" to watch the mov...

Re: Random thought of the moment.
If you are on the receiving end of a 5.56 round- does the target really care if it's an XM193 or m855? I mean really does the tango say- "ooh that Lake City brass is a bitch". Or what about the m855a1? Does the guy say- oh well, I'm done- but at least it's good for the environment.

Re: M4/AR Upper/Lower "play"
Thanks for everything. I would seriously like to call up Colt and give them a piece of my mind. I was considering other alternatives and almost pulled the trigger on a KAC SR15- but decided to go with the real deal. This type of crap just pisses me off- there is no excuse for poor machining on a wea...

Re: M4/AR Upper/Lower "play"
I would go with the Accuwedge and if it causes any problem just remove it. Seriously, I don't see how using an Accuwedge could "bind the bolt and cause jams". Sounds like complete bs to me. Hey thanks. I really didn't get his point and thought there was something I was missing. He went in...

M4/AR Upper/Lower "play"
Just mounted a KAC RAS and vertical grip on my Colt. It's a beautiful thing, but it made me notice some slight play between the upper/lower. Given I am always trying to tighten up the platform, this had me worried. I received two opinions; one said that it was lousy machining by Colt and to get an &...

Re: Remington 1911 hitting the stores soon
the pistols were so old and loose it was almost was better to throw it at the target ..... That sound you hear is me crying/laughing at that comment. It just presents a visual....oh forget it. I saved my pennies and bought an HK USP Tactical .45. It set me back a bit, but was worth every penn...

Re: Air Force TACP switch to Army RANGER?
I see that most of you are leaning towards the idea of staying blue and making the transition over to the STS side of the house (either CCT or SOF TACP). But in order to do this, you must get a release letter from your Unit Cmdr stating your availability to crosstrain over to either Combat Control ...

Re: Air Force TACP switch to Army RANGER?
Well brother, chewin the dirt with Army for so long has obviously rotted your brain.:-) But I understand the argument, especially now they are basically taking the button out of your hands. It's unfortunate though, a good, cohesive TACP is priceless for the CAS which is an integral part of what's go...

Re: Ak build
Try finding a POSP 8x42 Russian Scope/mount for AK. The commies made it specifically for that weapon.
If not, buy a damn M4, SR-15 or SR-25 if your that stuck on 7.62.
And I am anticipating the remark on why anyone would take shooting advice from a zoomie. So take your best shot, so to speak.

Re: Random thought of the moment.
Clocked my GSD at about 30 MPH in a sprint this morning. I almost feel sorry for those poor tangos trying to sneak through the wire at night in Kandahar- NOT. GSD = ?? Exactly, GSD= German Shepherd Dog. Some of her relatives are serving in A-stan. I can't even imagine what a 90lb GSD hitting you at...

Re: Random thought of the moment.
Its been 8 and a half years now- will those experiences and memories ever stop waking me up in the middle of the night? Two choices, you can go talk to your priest about it, or you can go find your old AF buddy and kick his ass for the things he did to you after you passed out drunk. Done...

Re: Twelve Things to Never Say to a Cop
Got pulled over after making a turn at a sign that said "No turn after 6 am". The officer walks up to my door and advises me of the sign. My unscripted, stupid retort? "It's 6:04- are you kidding"? I thought he was going to jump out of his skin- good thing he saw the badge my fri...
