Re: Most patriotic ad from Budweiser
I'm still proud of the American team, and I was a soccer player. Haven't done a lot of whining in my days. And RangerX, you just gave me another reason to avoid Budweiser products. I'll stick to my bourbon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I guess you have to play in the World Cup to get that &qu...

Re: Badass of the Week
Gentlemen, if this does not deserve the title "Badass of the Week", then nothing does. http://www.stripes.com/recognition-sought-for-soldier-s-heroic-acts-1.156727 And, quite frankly, I can think of few acts that are more deserving of the MOH, than this.. Yes it does. There is a petition ...

Re: 'small number' of military advisers going to Iraq
SF as advisors I could see, Rangers and SEALs are more for breaking stuff and writing books (the latter only applies to half of those), and a move like that leads me to believe there is going to be more than advising going on.

Re: Iraq Redux
The parallels are scary. As most of you know. I was an advisor. A telling discussion with Ranger Puck. He was the advisor to the Afgan NCO leadership school. His comment was that he was always worried about one of the Afgans shooting him in the back. I told him that I never had that fear in Viet-Na...

Re: Iraq Redux
Well, it's Vietnam all over. We lost 4200 warriors with thousands more wounded and spent a trillion dollars so all the totalitarian rabble could move over from Syria (where they really weren't having much luck) so they could beat the crap out of Iraq instead. I agree that air strikes are in order.....

At least he called it what it was and took ownership. He's still an idiot, but ray of sunshine and all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk He didn't really though. He blamed it on his holster to try and save face. The weapon was a good ways out of the holster already when it went off, you can see t...

concure! Jim, I'm not such a language prig that I've ever corrected anybody's English grammar around here...until today, but over the past 10 years I must have seen you misspell "concur" at least a thousand times. There is no "e" in "concur". There is no such word as &...
