Re: Any possibility?
Sir, Just my .02, but I've seen plenty of junior CPT PLs, especially in BN. Then again, since I was a mortar, the mortar PL is supposed to be a senior PL slot. Most of my PLs in mortar PLTs had already done rifle platoon time as well as XO time. FYSA, I've seen this a lot with mortar PLs in the reg...

Any possibility?
Rangers, I have a question that I cannot get a straight-forward answer on. I'm currently deployed with an SFAAT. I'm pretty much being fed the big, green weenie because I'm an 11A in a FA BN. I've already been told by my receiving BN CDR that upon redeployment, I will be getting a PLT (which sucks t...

Ranger School SITREP
Rangers,
It's been a long time coming, but I graduated Ranger School today with Class 06-12. Three recycles, one six-week BRC break in Florida, four roster numbers (143, 411, 524, and 625), and over 40 slit-trenches equal 174 days. It sucked, but I stuck it out. Now it's time to rest my feet.

RS SITREP
Rangers, I said I would make it back to Ranger School after being dropped for failing RAP Week in October, and I am back. I classed up 01 Jan (Class 03-12) and made it through to Darby. I was recycled for failing patrols and I am currently in Vaughn's PLT awaiting insert into 04-12's Darby Phase. So...

Ranger School SITREP
Rangers, Unfortunately, I am writing to update that I failed Ranger School. I easily made it all the way to the last event of RAP week, the 12 mile ruck march. I made a mistake and lost too much time on my second lap and paid for it dearly. I was stopped at mile 11 with 12 minutes left on the clock....

Re: SGTJenks Re-Intro
Welcome back LT, and congrats on scoring a RS slot. See if you can strap hang on some other training while you wait. Ranger K. Ingraham, Thank you for the welcome. Unfortunately, schools are hard to come by when your in the Ranger holding PLT. Since I'm going to the 101st, I inquired about Air Assa...

SGTJenks Re-Intro
Good evening Rangers, In keeping up with my last post made almost a year ago, I am reintroducing myself. I am (was) SGTJenks. I graduated from OCS earlier this year, worked my ass off to branch Infantry, and just recently graduated from IBOLC. Before Armor transferred to Ft. Benning, all IBOLC gradu...

SGT J, OUT!
Rangers, I am just under a month before I report to OCS. I read through these forums probably at least once a day, and have gained new and important knowledge into obtaining my goals in life. As stated in my intro, both my parents are/were career Army as well as my father-in-law, so the Army is all ...

Re: Maxing my 2-mile
Thank you Rangers. Unfortunately, my property manager doesn't allow tenants to own pitbulls, so I must make do with a shepard mutt.
Ranger Colt1rgr,
Roger.
Respectfully,
SGT J

Maxing my 2-mile
Rangers, I am having some issues with maxing the running portion of the APFT. I seem to have hit a plateau of sorts with a consistent 13:30 2-mile. Three years ago I did run a 12:40, but since then I have been maxing my push-ups and sit-ups, and it seems to be at the expence of my run time. At the v...

Re: SGTJenks
RANGER al_2ndWolfhounds, I wasn't sure of where to post my intro. Beings that I am currently in the Reserves, I'm still a college option for OCS. I'm in the same category as any other regular guy coming straight off the streets into OCS. I posted where my current status puts me and since I'm technic...

SGTJenks
Hello, I am SGTJenks. I am 22 years old and currently an E5 in the Army Reserves, which I have been in for a little over four years. I grew up with both parents in the Army (father is currently SSG and mother is a retired MSG) and I always wanted to follow in their footsteps. The Army is what I know...
