Re: Question about a diagnosis
Ranger Bugsy, an update. I went to a recruiter today to discuss this topic. He informed me that no recruiter could tell someone to upright lie, but that there were two routes I can take when the time comes for me to begin the enlistment process. He said I can "forget" I was told I had asth...

Re: Question about a diagnosis
Ranger Bugsy, thank you again for some great advice. Though I cannot begin the DEP process until atleast January, because of college, I plan on going to a local recruiter soon and seeking their advice after explaining my situation. I still plan on heeding yours and getting a statement put in my medi...

Re: Question about a diagnosis
Ranger Bugsy, roger that and thank you for your response. I know this is a difficult question to have answered (not many MEPS doctors around to ask), but do you have an opinion on if my doctor disputing the diagnosis and declaring me asymptomatic will be sufficient for MEPS to not require a waiver?

Question about a diagnosis
Rangers and other readers, this post is meant as a kind of update to a thread I began awhile back, which can be found here http://forum.armyranger.com/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=52752 . I have recently been able to review my medical records from the incident where the doctors first diagnosed me with a...

New APFT scores
Rangers, I began following Ranger Silverback's APFT Improvement Plan and the Armstrong Pull-Up Program a little over two weeks ago and it has really paid off. I have not done an APFT since doing so for my intro so today I completed one. Push-Ups: 85 (up from 76) Sit-Ups: 72 (up from 65) 2-Mile Run: ...

Distance Run Times
Rangers, yesterday was the first day I was cleared by my Doc do begin doing cardio since undergoing a septoplasty 3 weeks ago. I had not been able to do any sort of activity for a entire month but I can finally breathe out of my nose for the first time in my life, definitely worth it. I decided to g...

Re: Question about promotion and Ranger School
Ranger rgrwest, Hooah. Re-focusing on my first obstacle, enlistment. I was unaware of how long an E-4 would need to be in-service to come up for promotion, thank you for the info.
Ranger Basesplate, that's a perspective I didn't see at first. Roger that.

Question about promotion and Ranger School
Rangers, I have a question that I was hoping some of you could shed some light on. It is my understanding that as a college graduate a recruit is able to enlist at the E-4 level. I have also read that in order to serve in a leadership role as an NCO in the Regiment it is a prerequisite that you have...

Re: Military Athlete
Rangers and others on this thread, do any of you have the APFT program from this website and wouldn't mind e-mailing it to me? I have e-mailed the site requesting the program but received a reply stating that I must be Active Duty to receive the program. Thank you to anyone who can help.

Re: 12 week RASP program
Rob, thanks a lot man. A quick question, when did you begin your enlistment process in order to get a shipdate in September? When I start my DEP process, I plan on this being September 2011, I want to hopefully ship out in September 2012. Thanks again.

Re: 12 week RASP program
Hey guys, thanks for posting this thread. Question, when I click on the link it takes me to a page that does not have a program or a link for one. On the left, under the RASP 2 tab, there is a link but it does not supply a workout. Where can I find the link the download the 12 week program? Thanks

"Field" Workouts
Rangers and others, this thread is concerning a question that popped into my head today. Next year I will be moving to a new house closer to campus and right across the street from it is a HUGE soccer field, actually it's probably two side by side. The sight of this field and my current process of d...

Re: SF-86 (Security Clearance) Question
Ranger Silverback, apology repealed. I realize that I shouldn't have even responded, since the men who have been there before already provided me the answer.
