Re: Intro

Josef, when did you graduate from UCF? I just finished up my last exam of my sophomore year last Wednesday and like you, upon graduating plan on enlisting with the Option 40 contract. Do you still live around/near the campus? If so, we should meet up and do some PT. Also, would you mind sending me a...

Re: Great training Program

Ranger Jim, great advice (and obvious now it seems). I did not do as much searching around as I could have and upon taking your advice found some great information. I will definitely read and search before defaulting to someone else. Thank you

Re: Great training Program

A quick question, what exactly did you say in your email to get him to send you the APFT program? I emailed him inquiring about it, saying I plan on enlisting, and he said "Sorry-active duty only."

Ranger K.Ingraham, thank you for your help and advice to see a recruiter. Prodigy, you shed a lot of light on my situation and I am feeling more confident than ever that I can make this happen. Great information!

Re: Does a waiver disqualify a recruit from the Option 40?

Ranger K.Ingraham, thank you very much for your reply. Earlier in college I went to a recruiter to discuss the possibility of joining the Reserves while a student and when they asked if I had any medical symptoms I did not mention I had asthma as a child because I did not want it even on paper for t...

Does a waiver disqualify a recruit from the Option 40?

Rangers, thank you for taking time to read this. I am currently a sophomore in college so I have over a year until I can even start to talk to a recruiter about DEP'ing but I have a concern which has been eating at me which I hope to receive guidance on. As stated more thoroughly in my introduction ...

Re: Introduction, Greg

Ranger ZoneIV, that is some great information. I was under the misconception that if you complete the program you must accept a commission. I will definitely take your advice and look into it.

Re: Introduction, Greg

Ranger Jim, I appreciate your response. Now for your request, a little bit more about myself. I attend the University of Central Florida here in Orlando and I am set to graduate in May of 2012. I'm majoring in Criminal Justice for the reason that if I decide not to make the military a career I still...

Re: Introduction, Greg

Ranger Wolfhounds, thank you for taking the time to respond and thank you for serving. A quick question to anyone else responding to this intro, is anyone here a former wrestler? I was a state-runner up in high school and my college team just won the NCWA National Title. I really enjoy finding other...

Introduction, Greg

Rangers, I'm Greg and am currently finishing up my sophomore year (about one week left) in college while majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in International and Global Studies. My reason for joining this site after solely being a visitor for a few months is to gather knowledge about the caree...
