Re: Roadmarching Practice
I'd recommend going with the old school alice pack bud... The price will be right, and if it's a loaner, that's even better. At 16 you've got plenty of time, and still have some growing to do as well. I'd recommend doing 3 walks a week with a light ruck of about 45 pounds. Do a minimum of 30 minutes...

Re: Does anyone use heart rate monitors while working out?
Using a heart rate monitor has nothing to do with age! Heart rate training is very focused and allows you to target your specific weakness or strength. http://forum.armyranger.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=19407" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Ditto... Excellent tools to ens...

Re: MOS advice needed!
Thanks for the info Ranger Dan B 3/75. I won't actually be performing the duties of my chosen MOS becuase I'm staying in college and my drill location is my University with my ROTC instructors. So I guess the real question is, which one has a funner/ more badass AIT. First: Always have a back up pl...

Re: MOS advice needed!
While it would be nice to perform a duty in service that would give you a potential civilian career when, and if, you get out, in my opinion you must select a duty that allows you to be TRUE TO YOURSELF. Only you can decide that. Do the research, pick one that you will get SATISFACTION performing, a...

Re: Video clip of """collateral murder""""
For Military Science class we covered the issue with this video. I don't want to be the an arm chair quarterback but I don't think it was a good shoot on the second engagement. The first engagement in my cadet opinion was good. A group of men huddled together with rpg7s and ak's is definitely a via...

It is my opinion that if you want the guaranteed OPPORTUNITY to be an Airborne Ranger, than you need to sign a contract guaranteeing you the chance to be an Airborne Ranger. Can you get that opportunity without a contract? Maybe. Maybe not. If you want it, demand it while you can. You better be wort...
