Re: Who here carries a pistol for personal protection?
Since the GWOT kicked off in all its glory...er...anyway, and all the damn sworn statements that came along with it, I have taken a much different approach to defense in general. Like the Army maintenance plan, defense needs a "before, during, and after" approach to be as effective as poss...

Re: Who here carries a pistol for personal protection?
I heard about that policy.Unfortunately, the US Army Alaska Commanding General's Policy prohibits concealed carry for soldiers, regardless of the fact that Alaska does not require a CCW at all.
The term "Go fuck yourself" comes to mind, among other things...

Re: Concerns
Had company grade article 15 served 7 days extra duty, (thanks usmc) wondered if it would affect my chance of future ranger school. No. Company grade UCMJ from 11 years ago will not effect your chances at earning a Ranger school slot. That is the past. Focus on future efforts to prove worthy enough...

Re: Who here carries a pistol for personal protection?
[How NOT to carry a firearm...] So.... Dude from C 3/75, Squad Leader, lives in the great state of Alabama and happens to be on the way to Battalion. Sadly, his route takes him along VD drive and through the edge of Baker Village...AKA, THE FUCKING GHETTO. Said Squad Leader stops at a red light, and...

Re: Air Force TACP switch to Army RANGER?
Basically I want REALISTIC training. Things I thought I'd get as a TACP. Well.....shit. Since you DO display passion in your chosen profession, fuck it.....go Army. Regiment 13F's are fucking bad ass. Our FO's could call in fire from ORBIT if they had to... HOWEVER, should you FAIL to earn a slot i...

Re: Air Force TACP switch to Army RANGER?
I'd recommend you stick with what you've got in the Air Force and try to get a slot as a TACP in Regiment, or elsewhere within the special operations community. I give this advice simply because the odds are stacked against you getting into Regiment. You could give up your Sergeant rank, a 90K reup ...

Re: Strange Class A Uniform
was this guy for real? Doubt it... No self respecting Ranger would wear a "sapper" tab, and Rangers don't wear "airborne" tabs. The only pax authorized to wear a tan beret that have an "airborne" tab come from RTB, and I can't imagine any self respecting SF dude workin...
