Re: ALL MEMBERS - Ranger Jim
Jim passed away and crossed over to the other side, early this morning at his home. He loved this board and enjoyed the process in helping pass on the Ranger legacy to all those who aspire to one day become a Ranger. I don't normally do whiskey, but I will suck a shot (or 2) down later on, in your h...

Re: ALL MEMBERS - Ranger Jim
Jim is still in ICU....nurses said it may be a couple more days before they move him to a private room. By the tone of his caretakers, sounds like he's in good hands and getting the VIP treatment. By all accounts, he's not out of the woods yet, but he is getting his strength back. I'll continue to k...

Army Early Retirement Program To End Jan 15
The Army is terminating the use of temporary early retirement authority, or TERA, for Soldiers with less than 20, but at least 15 years of service. "Since 2012, temporary early retirement authority has served as an effective tool for drawing down the Army's end strength," said Secretary of...

Don't push it if you've got an injured ankle. Rucking will extend the healing process or screw it up even further.
If you feel comfortable enough by now to put weight on it, go light and work your way back up.
Keep us posted.

ALL MEMBERS - Ranger Jim
It is with heavy heart that I make this posting. The news of this hit me like a ton of bricks earlier and it's only now I've been able to settle down enough to make this post. Ranger Jim is not doing good right now and has been admitted to a hospital a couple of hours ago. To all of our long time me...

Seasons Greetings!
With the holidays upon us, take a moment and remember the reason for the season, those that are deployed and can't be with their loved ones, friends or family and those less fortunate.
Please be safe always, watch out for the other guy and may Santa bring you all everything you wished for.

Re: Ranger School Is Not A Leadership School
Not for nothing....deep breath here.....but...... Yes, candidates are expected to know the basics of leadership before arriving, but believe me, once you've been through it, you've picked up more examples in leadership by learning, doing and association with some of the Army's finest, than you ever ...

Army Drill Sergeants To Return To AIT
It's about time. I have no idea who came up with the idea within TRADOC to remove them in the first place, but I see this as a positive IMHO.

Re: Green Beret Discovered SEALs’ Illicit Cash. Then He Was Killed
I don't know all the facts and the circumstances behind what actually happened, but I do know the whole thing stinks and an SF Sergeant is dead.
These idiots have told so many different stories as to what happened, at this point, anything they say or claim is suspect.

5 Of The Best Documentaries Of The Regiment OIF/OEF
History Channel - Warfighters 5 Episodes. Never before seen footage with the Boys on the ground, putting their work in the Ghan and Iraq. One of the most accurate dialogues I've ever viewed. The camera footage with Benno (RIP) and Layka (Ranger Dogs of War) is absolutely epic. “The Warfighters” is a...
