Re: U.S. Govt to pay Taliban to switch sides
Remains to be seen how well the "brilliant" strategy worked in IZ? Success based upon the perspective of the Observer. Locally initiated anyway, USA just dumped $$$ upon effort. Time will tell... AF is a COMPLETELY different dynamic. Don't think Nation-State in the classic euro mind-set. T...

Welcome Ma'am, Congratulations to You, and the Lad. Entering service, during a time of active conflict is to be honored. Tell him to hang in there. Better to be on "hold" and emerge a Predator, than bail out and become Prey. Seems to be another Thread hereabouts with a similar theme. Very ...

Lad,
Are you sure that is a Good two mile time? Ran faster than that in old style Combat Boots, for old five event PT test. PU/SU wouldn't be bad, for one minute periods in same OLD test.
Are you wasting your/mine/OUR time?
SGM, USA (ret.)

...and your desired "end-state", Charles in Faytvl? Can't quite discern from initial post.
I was another Charles in Faytvl as well, for most of my "adult" life. Planning on being thereabouts next month, FYI.
Do an Azimuth check, before responding.

Many points in my sorry life, happiness was a pair of dry socks. Never considered compromising their integrity. Even if they were Virgin wool.
Civvies do look at you strange, when you define happiness as "dry socks".

Strangely enough, all my FSOK AIT Instructors were USMC, two months of learning how to be a "conventional" FA FDC. Never did it again after assignment 2-75, FLWA, all FO work.
