hi, Your right being an old fucker (no disrespect) won't help him a bit after OSUT. Also if he is already at FTX then his conditioning is about at a max. If he makes it thru airborne pt test he probably won't make it thru RIP's. And if he makes to first day of RIP odds are still against him.

Hi, those numbers give him a pt score of 233. If he took one minute off his run (which shouldn't be a problem) score would still only be a 246, ouch. PT test for jump might be a problem let alone the RIP pt. goodluck to him, just give 100%.

Hi, Eight Changes I would like to leave you with something that the guest speaker said at my sons RIP graduation. "Everyone talks about the Green Berets and a great compliment to the U.S. Army they are." "I have spent many years as a ArmyRanger and have always wondered where the Green...

Hi, Seems to me your saying that Rangers will take you or anyone anytime but have to wait for something as special as 18X. I hope you remember that neither of these are a guarantee not even the cook job. Young studs bow out and go worldwide all the time and you want to try it even with being over th...

Already worrying about marches in RIP? Don't even try imagining how tough it is at RIP. You have never encountered anything as hard. My son said RIP was the hardest thing he had ever done until he went to Ranger School.

Hi, My son graduated a four year college then decided to join the Army. He didn't want to be anything but an Airborne Ranger. He could have went directly to OCS and then took his chances on evintually getting into Ranger Bn. But the only thing that guranteed him Ranger Bn was enlistment with an Opti...

Hi, Statistics have shown class after class that your soldier has a good chance of not even making it to graduation of RIP. So really all the worrying of whether he gets HTR might not matter unless they can still get Home Town Recruiting if they go worldwide. RIP is not automatic and many tough indi...
