The Battalion's go on block leave before and after deployments, unless you have a family emergency, those are the only times you can really go on leave. Your son will be new and have A LOT of stuff to do to get up to speed like everyone else!

Hey man, I feel your pain, I get a cast put on my right foot tomorrow for the same thing! My Battalion PA said it will be on there for 4-6 weeks and then maybe longer if not fully healed.
