Re: Introduction

Hmmmnn...recall "peering" a Rupert in my course. He took so long in composing his peer evaluations, that it resulted in us being the last ones there. Meaning we got to clean the classroom & administrative area. We all trooped up to recover our eval's, and annotated accordingly. Dig de...

Roger! Ranger Jim ........ Attention to detail Sir......Don't Quit. Oh and If your squad had West Pointers, call me not surprised.......You gotta watch those guys. Our next class will consist of lots of West Pointers IN LTs. I've made friends with a handful of them since we're all neighbors, if any...

Re: Introduction

Roger! I really liked the training we were receiving. I wish we could get it over now, instead of having to wait til JAN! I'll be a good asset to the new squad I'll be in. And I've been studying even more so that I can help my team members.

Re: Introduction

Hello all Rangers, Well, quick update while on my 8hr pass. Unfortunately, I have recycled Darby. I got peered out at 58%...(very surprising to me, since I believe I did help my sqd out ALOT). I am very bummed out because I thought we were a tight group. Initially, my company co. recommended me goin...

Re: Introduction

Hello to all Rangers, This site has been nothing more than good service to me. It has helped me very well in prepping for RS. I just completed IOBC this past Thurs. I begin RS NOV 1. If I complete RS, there'd been only 2 from my ROTC BN to be tabbed. Again, thanks to all of you who have answered all...

Re: Introduction

Hello Rangers, Quick update. I received my commission 1JUN09. I am to report to Ft. Benning for BOLC II 7JUN09 and then IBOLC 26JUL-27OCT. I was thinking of driving from CA to Benning, but had car trouble. So now I will be taking the Greyhound. It has been a long rocky road for me to reach this goal...

Re: DCLT vs. Airborne school for an ROTC Cadet

Cadets in general worry way too much about badges. I did the same thing as a cadet. Take the opportunities if you get them, but don't think in any way that it's going to get you street cred or anything else ridiculous like that. How many of my Soldiers gave a fuck about the badges I had upon arrivi...

Re: DCLT vs. Airborne school for an ROTC Cadet

I did LDAC last summer as well. I branched Signal detail infantry. I've always wanted to do any summer training but my school schedule was 8 weeks on 1 week off year around. I was lucky to even attend LDAC. So now, I'll be going INF w/o ABN or AASLT, which I think will make me look dumb!! LOL Hopefu...

Re: Introduction

Now that's manly! Commit first then come here for advice. I think you'll do fine, just adopt the never quit mind set and think about coming home to your family with the Ranger Beret on your head. That thought kept me "keeping on" in more than a few RIP rucks! Don't forget to sever all tie...
