Re: St Crispin's Day

Gary good read. How did you come up with the troop combat days? Vietnam is listed on most accounts as 8 years and 5 months, and Afghanistan is listed now as 10 years 1 month. Wouldn't that be more combat days? Just curious. This was actually written last year on Monday, 24 Oct and the figures were ...

Re: Serious disrespect, or is it just me?

Me as an instructor? I later learned that the Ranger cadre had recommended me to be brought back as an instructor at the Ranger school when I saw that paperwork in my personnel file. I never did go back as an instructor. Thank God! ( Never got asked or selected, he would have jumped on the chance! )...

Re: Need help to verifying Ranger credentials

The individual in question, Steve Norris, told me he was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart. He served from 2/97 to 2/2002. Claims that he was a CPT (P) Company Commander 3rd Ranger BN. How could this guy complete 3 tours in Iraq and 2 tours in Afghanistan in 5 years of service when we didn't...

Re: Need help to verifying Ranger credentials

Have there been many Army Rangers that been awarded the Silver Star in combat operations since 9/11? Thanks, Rangers Sunny, I am gonna leave this to the 3rd Bat guys to verify. I have however, found no one by the name or grade on AKO, if he was Medically Retired he would be there. Additionally acco...

Re: POSSIBLE POSER - NEED CONFIRMATION

I smell a poser and need help. I'm a retired army recruiter in corporate america and came across a interesting situation. The person in my company claims to be a previous company commander for 3rd Ranger Battalion. Claims to have 3 tours in Iraq and 2 tours in afghanistan. What smells is he was onl...

Re: help me find if my recruiter is full of crap!

I won't repeat what the current, active recruiters active on this site right now have been posting in the last month or so. Your recruiter isn't entirely wrong, he is simply placing an incredibly positive spin on things. Regiment is sourcing the majority of volunteers from the top prospects in OSUT...
