Israel is in the process of trying to be admitted to both the EU and NATO. If and when they do this, they'll pretty much be untouchable because it won't just be the US supporting them anymore. I would say Israel is more of a warrior nation than we are because everyone has to serve in the military, a...

Well, I graduated BAC today with class 38-06. Airborne was a good experience, though it does suck that as a Cadet I won't be jumping again until hopefully Ranger School. Going back into my corner now...

Roger that Ranger AbnRgr289. Thursday, thanks for the link. I have read that before, and it is one of the reasons why I am staying motivated and active. I'm trying to mix things up so I don't get bored: playing tennis then running afterwards, swimming, rucking, etc. After listening to my ROTC instru...

My friend went and graduated earlier this summer and said that Delta Company ran faster than everyone else. Is this true? The reason that I ask is because he estimated by the weekly rotations that I'll get D Company, which I really want because I hate to run slow. I've been working out and running e...

Got my orders this week

I just got my orders for BAC for 2 August-25 August. I also could have had an Air Assault slot but it ran in with my Airborne date which really sucks. Are there any other Cadets or DEPs that are going to be there at that time? Also, I was told that I should practice running in the mid afternoon when...

Barnett, I go to school in Murfreesboro, TN, but my real home is Collierville (about 20 min. outisde of Memphis). I come home about once a month if I have a free weekend. I should be at home pretty frequently throughout the summer so send me a PM and maybe we can work out a time/place to do some PT.

Sorry, I never meant to offend you. I have done my own research from four of my psychology books, none of them have any information on PTSD specific to soldiers or SOF personnel which is why I was curious on that subject. What I said wasn't necessarily my own opinion, just some speculation on the po...

I guess I never thought of it like that. Thank you for the insight Ranger B 2/75. After all that hard work and training, I guess most SOF soldiers would keep their mouth shut about such things/symptoms until they get out. Taking into consideration all of the other possibilities, would it also be pos...

"Special Forces troops are less likely to suffer symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder than other combat troops because they produce more of a brain-calming chemical in their blood, according to a report in NewScientist.com." I find this very interesting due to the fact that it could ...

...you do have a choice. It's called an order merit list compared to every cadet in the nation. If you have good grades, good PT, and do good at LDAC you're chances are much better at getting what you want. Summer schools such as Airborne, Air Assault, etc. help as well. Read my pm please.
