Re: Reflexive sights

GSXRanger put me on to EOTechs when we first got over here and I've loved it ever since. I actually just picked up a BARELY used one for $200 off a guy that is done at the end of the tour.

Can't speak much on Kirkuk, but my AO has been scary quiet for about 7 months now. GSXs boys have seen some work, but up where I am we can't catch a damn thing. Who knows....

Re: DCLT vs. Airborne school for an ROTC Cadet

I'd hold off on the Drill SGT gig and focus on a school that is going to give you a skill you can apply once you get out in the big army. You will learn very quickly how to act and associate around you NCOs and enlisted guys, that doesn't take a school to learn. Go to something that will give you th...

Re: SITREP - Cherry LT

How long has PSU Abington gone down to Widener for ROTC? If my memory serves me correctly they were their own entity back in 02-03. Spent my whole life in Abington with the exception of college and the little field trip I'm on now.

Re: First Deployment

Don't get too comfortable in any job, stay on your toes and expect for shit to change everyday. Im a 19 series guy by trade and since Ive left OBC I havent done a single thing related to armor or scouts. Me personally, I was running a 9 man intel/COIST team. Did that for a month, velcro'd on O2 and ...

Had 3 Egyptian officers in my Armor course last year. Talk about some hard bastards. They had their moments where they were lazy (no work on friday, cleaning weapons was "below" them etc.), however, they were tactically ballsy and good guys to have on your crew.

We just got fitted for them here at RFI. They were out of Large Regulars, apparently the Army can't keep up with the demand right now. From the one I tried on, I like some things and hated certain others. Sustains: -Lighter Weight -Increased range of motion -Seemed more form fitting and less bulky I...

Sounds like the old timers in my unit fighting to bring back our regimental scroll. It is almost a carbon copy of a Ranger Regiment scroll, only a little thiner. Being the lowly 2LT I am, I have zero say, however, IMO, there are some things that should be reserved for certain units only. I understan...

Gotta agree with ya on the loving West Virginia thing. If it wasnt for everything I had back at home (which isnt much), I woulda stayed in a heartbeat
