Ranger Charlie 51, Yes, I did not understand the meaning of the term at the time. I apologize and will do everything in my power to make sure that term does not apply to me. Ranger Bill, I greatly appreciate your advice. I have been working very hard on my PT but I have been doing a lot of stretchin...

Re: RFS130Z
Congratulations on signing your OPT40. I hope you have been doing your pt during this intermin. Ranger Steadfast, Sadly I have not kept up with my PT; I have done nothing but lift weights. We do some cardio at my MMA gym but not nearly enough. After I found out it would take a full year to get out ...

Hi, my name is Rob and I enlisted into the Army today. I obtained an 11x Option 40 contract and ship out November 13, 2008. I already made and introduction post last February when I originally tried joining but had some issues with withdrawing for the Marine Corps DEP. http://www.armyranger.com/bb/v...

Rangers, I figured I would give an update on my situation with the Marine Corps. Back in march I sent them a letter to withdraw from DEP, they signed for the letter but took no action. They would not return my calls so I contacted the office of my local Senator, after a call from them they supposedl...

96B Option 40
Rangers, I have officially terminated my contract with the Marines and am now speaking with an Army recruiter. I am interested in two different MOS’s at the moment; 96B Intelligence Analyst and 11x. After extensive searching I have found very little information about being a 96B Ranger. What I hav...

Marine nadnklipsch, I don’t plan on staying in the Marine DEP; I have my second appointment with an Army recruiter Thursday. Also Recon sounds too water oriented for my liking. My Marine recruiter did mention the Security Forces MOS, which does sound slightly appealing so I will continue to look a...

Introduction (Marine DEP)
Hi, my name is Rob, I'm 18 years old, and I am in my senior year of High school and work as a laborer. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in early September of 2007. I have yet to sign for any MOS, due to a supposed lack of job openings for my...
