Dog Handlers
Rangers,
I was doing some research and I read that the 75th Ranger Regiment has Dog Handlers. First off, I was wondering if this was true or not. Secondly, what would be the pipeline to become a Ranger Dog Handler?
Thank you for your time and Service.

Re: Allergies and Asthma
I'm not sure if I got this right.. you doc says that the shot regimen will completely eliminate your allergic condition? Or will it just suppress it for a very long time? Being allergic to pollen, as was said, sucks nut during a Ft. Benning spring. It is quite a sight to see rain runoff turn bright...

Re: Allergies and Asthma
My guess is that you will have to go through the complete shot schedule (usually 1 year) before you can be cleared of everything, including asthma. Your doc may not want to sign off on the asthma part until he sees how you respond to shots and the eventual outcome. You would need this 'all clear' b...

Re: Allergies and Asthma
Does your airway also swell up? If the above is what happens then it sounds like your allergies are very serious and due to an extremely common thing. Which would suck for you at Ft.Benning in the spring! Soldier cback0220 My airway is not affected. I started taking a different allergy medication, ...

Also what are your attacks like?
I am allergic to common things like weeds and pollen. My attacks consist of my eyes watering, my nose running, and my face swelling.

Re: Allergies and Asthma
It's a ' regimen ' your doctor puts you on, not a regimen T . Your doctor cannot put you in a regiment. You'll have to earn that for your self. Look here: http://forum.armyranger.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=2355" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Give some thought to what car...

Allergies and Asthma
I have been informed by my Doctor that my asthma is caused by my allergies. He had me start a shot regiment that will abolish my allergies, which will rid me of my asthmatic condition. I was wondering if this would inhibit me from getting an Option 40 contract, or even in a broader spectrum, inhibit...

I spent alot of time, effort, heartbreak, sweat, blood and tears to stay out of the hospital as a medic. You will eat alot of crow since you are viewed as support. Working in a hospital as a POG Medic was my worst nightmare. I was also the only SOB to get exactly what he wanted out of the military,...

I will only address question #1. Ranger Medics work in and aid station too, as all Army units have aid stations to treat their own people. SFC hit_it, Thank you for your answer. If working in an aid station for my first enlistment means I would be able to go into the field for my second, it would b...

Army Ranger Medics
Rangers, As stated in my introduction, my goal is to become an Army Ranger Medic. I have kept quiet for some time, but as I approach my 17th birthday, I've decided its time to start getting more information. 1) I understand medics in the "big Army" are sometimes put in aid stations and hos...

Army Ranger Engineer
Rangers, I humbly come you for guidance and answers. I have done some research in regards to Army Combat Engineers. Along the way I contemplated a few questions. 1. How does being a 21B in the big Army compare to being a 21B in Battalion? (I read that engineers were being used for patrols instead of...

ditch the curls and lat pulldowns. Curls are strictly cosmetic and pulldowns should not be done at all if you can do pullups. Do all manner of pullups (chinups, ropegrip, widegrip, etc). Add rows. Add pushups. While I agree curls are cosmetic, I would say NOT to disregard them completely. You will ...
